Today is my last week of my work experience sessions, i have highly enjoyed these last past 10 weeks and have learnt a lot from it. I have done many trade tests that have helped me developed my confidence even more, my tutors have been so supportive throughout the whole experience and i really appreciate the help they have provided. During these sessions pressure has been put on me in my opinion this is good as it helps me to push my self and get used to things being thrown at me.
Last weeks work experience session i completed my last facial assessment, i had done a client that had combination skin. I was happy with how my assessment turned out i felt confident, I spoke to my client and made them feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the whole treatment.

To help me with my beauty therapy course I have wrote out a plan, this is a plan for my practical assessments and the ones I have left to complete. This keeps me organised and focused on what i have to do and will not make me struggle in the future.

In Thursdays commercial session I was chosen to be a model for a level 3 facial and manicure I was very excited to be the model, as it allowed me to learn new skills and how level 3 is different to level 1. Whilst having the treatments I was feeling very confident in my therapist and seemed confident in her self I think she did a really good job and made me feel relaxed. Experiencing this has made me think I can be confident in my future careerer, it has also helped me to improve on my own treatments.

My last task that I got set today in work experience was to type up my own CV getting ready for a future job. I took my time to type out my personal statement, this will help me to get a better chance for my dream job.

This is how I set up my manicure trolley for today's work experience session. I feel like I did a really good job on my set up, I kept it nice and tidy and clean throughout the whole treatment, to make me look professional and to prove to my tutors I was working well.

Today in my work experience session I had a trade test for a manicure. I really enjoyed it and it definitely pushed me to do that little bit better. Today I got given a task to paint the nails red or any other extremely pigmented colours, I got given this beautiful pink that looks very sophisticated.

I was looking at some beauty blogs on the internet, I came across this blog that is by Sarah Jagger, I was looking at her blog for a while and decided I really liked it and found it really interesting. I feel like her blog really inspires me and encourages me to carry on with my own blog. In my opinion her blog looks very professional and clear and looks like she has put a lot of work into it, I was very impressed of what I saw.
Here is me in my first week of work experience creating my very
first blog which i am very excited to be starting. The layout of
my blog is very pink as i like the girly and pretty look, The
background that is seen on my blog has birds placed on it this
describes me as a outdoor person and someone that loves
nature and animals. This blog will help me in the near future
and its a skill that i can take with me to show other employers
of what I've done throughout my beauty therapy level 1 course. This will show that i have a passion for the beauty industry and not only does it show that i have a passion it also promotes the beauty industry very well. My goal in life is to become a professional make up artist. My aim of today's work experience session will be to follow a professional make up artists blog.
